Our nursery provides a safe and loving environment for children from birth to 36 months during Sunday school and Morning Church services. Our goal is to provide these young ones with a positive first experience in church and to serve their families so they may attend Sunday school and church services with less distraction.
The goal and focus of our children’s ministry is to present kids with an understanding of who God is, what He has done for them, presenting them with the plan of salvation and laying a foundation for their lives built on the teachings of His Word.
Children’s Sunday school and Jr. Church:
Sunday School classes at 9:45am are for ages 4-7 and 8-12 followed by a Junior Church program for all the ages that meets after the morning service announcements.
Patch & Pee Wee
The Patch the Pirate and Peewee Clubs meet on Wednesday nights at 7pm and are for children ages 4-12. Children see the Bible come alive through weekly lessons they can apply to their own daily lives. They are also given the opportunity to perform skits and learn music to perform for the church.
The Peewee Club is for the children ages four through six and is kept fun and engaging for little minds.
Patch the Pirate club is geared for the older children, ages 7-12. It is here that the children are encouraged to begin taking the Christian walk to an even more personal level as they learn to consistently engage in daily devotions in the Word of God in books provided by the club.
Bible lessons are central in both clubs, but they are kept fun and engaging for the kids with games, prizes, and activities as well.
The LBC Singles group is for teens and single adults. The desire for this group is for participants to grow in their love for God, His Word, and others. There are several opportunities for singles to become engaged and involved in serving our local church, and in reaching their generation and the community with the good news of Jesus Christ. Bible study and fellowship are on Saturday evenings every other week and group outing activities are once a month.
Reformers Unanimous is a faith- based, Christ-centered addictions program that directs the addicted back to God's support group- the local church. Headquartered in Rockford, IL RU now has chapters around the world helping people break the chains of addiction. Reformers Unanimous meets Friday at 7 p.m. where stories of victory are shared, individuals are counseled from God's Word, and lessons are taught on overcoming temptation. Our local director Matt Voss leads this ministry. Having been freed himself from the control of an addiction he leads the ministry with a heart of compassion, understanding, and encouragement to those who attend.
C.A.R.E. (Christ’s Ambassadors Reaching Everyone), is a gospel outreach program with the intention of reaching our community and neighbors with the wonderful message of salvation through the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. Through door to door witnessing or passing out tracts and church invitations, our goal is to see as many people come to know Jesus as their savior by showing them God’s love through the gospel.
